Directions: Take a right on School Street off of Rte. 100
in the center of Stowe. Go up the hill .3 miles and take
a slight right onto Stowe Hollow Rd. Drive .8
miles and take another slight right onto Covered Bridge Rd. (dirt road). Go another
.8 miles to the covered bridge. Pass straight through the intersection and up
the hill onto Stowe Hollow Rd. Go .5 miles on Stowe Hollow Rd. passing Dewey
Hill Rd. on your right. Burnham’s Barn will be on the right hand. Park
as close as possible on the right shoulder of the road.

Three classes a
week: Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Harry Burnham’s barn is used for Saturday classes and sometimes
on rainy days.
Tuesday and Thursday classes are held in the field. |

each of: poppy seed oil, sun-thickened linseed oil, light
bodied stand oil,
• Damar varnish, mastic varnish
and turpentine (Try Windsor &Newton, Rembrandt, Old-Holland
or Schmincke Brand)
• Gesso panels, canvases on stretchers,
or canvas boards
(some 9x12 size will be helpful).
• Portable field easel,
sketch pad (not newsprint) 9X12 suggested, 3B pencil,
chalk, charcoal. |
